The Lyngdorf D-500 Center is a premium in-wall center loudspeaker designed to deliver exceptional dialogue clarity and high performance in home cinema surround sound and immersive audio systems. The D series expands the range with discreet speakers that bring Lyngdorf Audio quality to home theater installations. Equipped with its own closed MDF cabinet, it guarantees consistent and defined audio performance.
Pre-mounted Enclosure & Easy Installation
All D-500 Center speakers come with their own closed MDF cabinet. This ensures that the sound performance is always defined and consistent, depending less on the wall construction and the available space behind the wall. Practical mounting legs make the installation simple, requiring no after-market backbox.
Ideal Sound Radiation & Full-Range Design
Designed specifically as a center speaker, the D-500 Center features two passive woofers that complement the midrange driver and tweeter. Placing the tweeter directly above the midrange driver achieves the ideal sound radiation for a center channel, complementing D-500 speakers placed to the left and right. Reaching below 50Hz, it acts as a full-range speaker for setups without subwoofers.

Full-range speaker design
The D-500 models are designed as full-range speakers, with two passive woofers complementing the midrange driver and tweeter. This design makes the D-500 models easy to drive while reaching below 50Hz, suitable for systems without a subwoofer in smaller or medium sized rooms, or as full range in-wall speakers in a stereo setup left and right of a TV.
Pre-mounted loudspeaker enclosure
All D-500, D-60 and D-5 models come with their own pre-mounted loudspeaker enclosure, so that no after-market backbox or closed wall cavity is required. This ensures that the sound performance is always defined and consistent, depending less on the wall construction and the available space behind the wall.
Lyngdorf Audio speaker design and drive-units
The woofers and tweeters are based on the known drive-units used in other Lyngdorf loudspeakers customized for these new models, featuring soft-dome tweeters, light aluminum cones, vented magnets, and die-cast baskets.
